How would you like to visit a popular amusement park for free? Many members of the military do not realize that they are eligible for either reduced rates or free park entrance tickets to many of the most popular theme parks in the world. You can also stay in resort hotels for a low price such as the Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC), Shades of Green, on the Walt Disney World Resort property in Orlando, Florida.
Anheuser-Busch’s Here’s To The Heroes Program
Each year and one time per year, members of the military and up to three direct dependents can receive free admission to one of the many theme parks that Anheuser-Busch owns. Members of the military and their families can receive a single day complimentary admission to any SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, or Sesame Place theme parks. Any active duty, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman is entitled to free admission under the Here’s to the Heroes program. But, you must register online and print a form to take with you to the park before you go. You can register on the Here’s To The Heroes website.
Many Parks Within Driving Distance To Major Bases
Sesame Place, based on Sesame Street with your children’s favorite characters, is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, just 30 minutes north of Philadelphia and 90 minutes south of New York City. Members of the military can also enjoy Busch Gardens Williamsburg or Busch Gardens Tampa. Also eligible for free tickets are Busch Gardens’ water parks Adventure Island and Water Country USA. Service members can also one of the three SeaWorld around the country in Orlando, San Antonio, or San Diego for free.
Reduced Rate Walt Disney World Resort Tickets For Military
In the past, my wife has always had me purchase the tickets for our family when we vacation at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida because I am a Florida resident and have a Florida driver’s license. The ticket prices for entrance into Disney’s parks are considerably reduced for Florida residents than the normal rate. Disney has done this for years in the hopes of spurring visits from locals. But, on our family’s recent trip to Disney World, we found that the military rate blew the Florida’s resident rate out of the water. For example, a four day park hopper pass normally costs $71.50 per day for an adult or $286 for all four days. But, the Walt Disney World military rate for the same pass is only $138 for all four days for an adult. My wife and I were blown away by the savings, and as you can see, they are quite considerable. Tickets are available to active and retired U.S. military personnel (including active and retired members of the United States Coast Guard, National Guard and Reservists) or their spouses. The tickets are called “Magic Your Way Stars and Stripes Tickets” and are available only for guests who are staying at Shades of Green Resort, or who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort or staying at a Resort located on Walt Disney World Resort.
There is a wealth of free and reduced attractions available for members of the military and their families. These two are just a few of the biggest programs helping military families have a wonderful vacation with tickets for military members at a reduced or even free price.
