Guest Post Guidelines

Occasionally, I get asked about guest posts here on the blog. So, I wanted to take a quick minute to write about it. I do accept guest posts here on Military Money Might. Below, you will find all the details about the process.

What kind of content do you accept?  Anything that is useful for the blog’s readers is good content for a guest post here. It can be related to investing, personal finance in general, and it can also come from your own personal experiences. There is no minimum length for your post, but usually the best guest posts are over 500 words.

Guidelines

  • Your post must be original and must have never been published before on the Internet
  • You agree to not publish the post anywhere else for ninety days (i.e., on your own blog or as a guest post on other blogs)
  • You can include up to two links in your byline back to your blog, company website, or Twitter page which will be shown in header and footer of the blog post
  • I reserve the right to edit the post if needed or even reject the post if needed. Not all guest posts submitted will be published, but I do try and publish as many as possible.
  • You should also include your name and what website you work for (if you work for one) in the heading of your guest post. Check out some of the other guest posts that we have published here on Military Money Might for examples of what we are looking for.

How do I submit my guest post? If you have a post that meets the guidelines above, you can send it to me on the email militarymoneymight (at) gmail.com. Usually within 48 hours I will reply stating if I can use the guest post or not. If I reject your post, you are obviously free to use it on your own blog or to propose it as a guest post to some other website.
